There is not much that changed in the characters, plot, setting, or theme. It is still the same. Ben and his Grandma really want to get the diamonds but his Grandma is not sure if it is a good idea because if they get caught they will both be sent to jail and she does not want to go in jail especially with her only Grandson.
There are not really any new vocabulary words. I know them all because there are the definitions at the bottom of the page.
My rating of the book, out of seven would be seven; because there are some pictures that would give you the way the Grandma, Ben or his parents look like even though you look at the front page doesn't always help. That is why I give it a seven and also some words and personal perspective from the author is good because they can also understand and know his thoughts. No it has not changed because it is still the same because he still makes it interesting because he puts the suspense in most of the parts of the book and you never know what happens.
The character that best represents me is Ben, because he really wants to do the same as his Grandmother and he wants to be with her and really rob the Crown Jewels. He represents me because I am always in the mood for stories that my parents or Grandparents tell me stories in their time and I would love to do the same.

I would love to be the Grandma because she is awesome and I would love to be able to steal lots of Jewels so I would make a shop. Or I would keep them and I would bury them so in the future someone can find it. Maybe I would just keep them in my house somewhere in my bungalow. Even just having the skills to steal stuff with no one even knowing you stole it. Also staying in armor for so many days just to steal one Jewel is really cool.

The title of the book I am reading is Gangsta Granny the one who wrote this book is David Williams this is an adventure type of book.
It is about a boy, that loves plumbing but that has a boring Grandma but the bookseller (to which he buys his magazines) says “that every old person has a story to tell at their age” so Ben is not sure if she is really boring or not and every Friday his parents drop him at her house. That Friday night changed his life, because he saw a tin that normally had biscuits in it but this time there were diamonds, rings, bracelets… this puzzled him so much that he wants to know more about them. She tells him about the jewels and he wants to know more. The Grandma now told everything but he cannot tell anyone. She tells him that there is one jewel she cannot manage to steal and that has never been stolen The Crown Jewels he wants to steal them but the Grandma says “No”. He finds out that there is a pipe from the Thames to The Tower of London.
Before I did not like reading books that were about 5cm long, but now this book has really captivated my mind.
At first I didn’t like Ben because I thought he was kind of mean and exaggerating with his Grandma because she is old and has no friends so he should have been kinder with her. Now he is kinder with her and he wants to be with her because the parents are kind of like jerks because they only care of Strictly Stars TV Show.
The conflict was when Ben knew his Grandma was a bit suspicious because she usually doesn’t go out. So he wants to know more. As she wants to steal a jewelry shop he stops her and asks why he is here and he says it isn’t good to steal and she disagrees.
The protagonist is Ben he changes and thinks that stealing is good because to him it sounds fun. He changed thanks to his Grandma the antagonist made him change by telling him all of the stories when she stole jewels and when it is a success.
The theme of the book I am reading is adventure and robbery. The author is trying to convey that everything is possible and that our Grandparents are not always boring.
He is saying that people can surprise others in many different ways and for Ben’s case it is by his Grandma being an International Jewel Thief. So he is basically saying that not everyone is boring and that we all are special or has a specialty but not the kind of “Oh everyone is special”. What the author means is that we all are different and somehow the same but there is that one thing that makes you sparkle.
The setting is in a bungalow (old person house) that smells cabbage and also at Ben’s house which is kind of like the kind of house that is old but is good enough. This fits with the author’s commentary because Ben does not like his Grandma because he does not like cabbage and he is saying that we should always look inside the person and not by his or her looks.

Introduction

My name is Océane.
This is my first blog. I like animals and I have many pets I have, four geese, two cats, seven guinea pigs, two dogs and fourteen chickens. Having a blog is maybe going to help me socialize with other people. I have a small brother and a twin sister. I do not like sports but I like horseback riding. I always hated horror movies because I would never sleep at night. On my 11th Birthday I went to Mihingo Lodge and it was really fun. I spend most of my time on the Monkey Bars at break. When I get sick or cannot go to bed I talk to myself so I can go to bed. I sometimes dress up my cat because I am bored and he actually doesn’t care about it! My mom went on the Mount Ruwenzori and apparently there is about 6m of deep moss. I am very fascinated by the ways of animals, and their capabilities.
I love Arts and it is one of my passions all of them are… horseback riding, animals, and arts. I am usually on Animal Jam, and rarely on Facebook. I do not like all types of books; I really like “The Saddle Club” though. My favorite ice cream is stratiatella. When I am at home and I am bored I usually go on Animal Jam or I invent something or build a small house for us to play in it. I love going on Safaris with my friends because we talk a lot, play a lot and we see whoever sees the first animal we chose to look for, and whoever wins gives a dare to the other.
